Shipping Policy:

We ship to all 48 mainland States.  Successful shipping of live Tropical fish is an expensive proposition, and pricing is often complicated.  Often, mail order fish customers learn, to their dismay, that the cost of shipping can be as much as the value of the fish on smaller orders.  To simplify matters for our mail order customers, and to reduce overall shipping costs,  That Fish Shop charges a flat rate for packing, shipping, and handling. There is a fee of only $49.00 on all Single box orders regardless of order size and destination.  This is almost always less than our actual shipping costs.  Fish will be shipped either UPS next day air or Fedex.  On orders larger than one box price will be e-mailed to you prior to shipping.  To assure live healthy arrival, fish are double bagged with pure oxygen at a ratio of 1/3 water and 2/3 oxygen.  The shipping water is treated with Stress Coat and Ammonia reducing agents.

  Live Delivery Guarantee:

We guarantee live delivery on all orders.  While our fish almost always arrive alive and healthy, should you have any losses, our policy is to give you credit toward your next purchase, or replace the fish, whichever is best for you.  In the event the fish are replaced the customer will pay only the 49.00 shipping and handling cost.

   Water Conditions and Acclimation:

As we are a group of breeders our water conditions will vary depending on the species of fish you order.  As a rule the water here in southern California  usually has a PH between 7.0 and 8.0. with a general hardness factor of 100 – 140 ppm.  The breeders in our group keep their fish in the proper water conditions, which are conducive to breeding and healthy rearing of that particular species of fish.  Be sure to acclimate your new fish properly.  Acclimation should consist of floating the new arrivals in your tank for at least 15 minutes to assure proper temperature.  When acclimating soft water fish you may want to use a drip system to slowly  introduce your tanks water to your new arrivals water, then remove fish (without water) and place in new home.
