Rainbows like to school and the males are known for their fantastic colors that they can flash on and off. They are mid-waters swimmers and you can keep rainbows with just about anything. The pics you see in this website of rainbows are of the best, full-grown males, at the best time of day. Anyone who has kept rainbows knows that rainbow change color depending on the time of day, color of substrata and surroundings. Rainbows can look different from tank to tank and a captive raised rainbow can look completely different from the wild parent. Rainbow individuals also show a great variation in color and intensity in color inside a single spawn. Most of the Rainbows I send out are 1 ½ inch and will need some size and time before they look like the photos you see in my auction. Regardless I have never see a photo of a rainbow that even comes close to as spectacular looking as a flashing male Rainbow in a planted tank, chasing after a female. What an amazing thing, that for as little as $72 you can overnight (18 hours) a beautiful, live, rare, pedigreed Rainbow fish delivered to you door.
