You can read about his exploits in AquaGeo Vol 2. Batanta Island is an extremely remote island off the coast of northwest Irian Jaya. This island has been rarely explored and it was a real wonder that he even got any of these fish back alive. Although Dr. Allen at first thought this was just a color variation of Mel. Misoolensis he has now changed his mind. Maybe someday soon we’ll find out it’s new name. This is your opportunity to be one of the first to own this beautiful fish.
