This one is a brilliant yellow orange and is always chasing its tanks mates around and flashing colors. Trifasciata are from Australia and exhibit a vast natural assortment of colors. Every river system has its own individual body color and pattern. Specific names usually based on the river locality where each is found and are used by Bow Heads to identify each variety. Males are more brightly colored, larger, and much deeper bodied than females. They can be recognized by a very deep body, and black mid-lateral band.
