Known only from Lake Kurumoi, situated in the Vogelkop Peninsula, West Papua New Guinea.., Lake Kurumoi is part of the Yakati River system. These young adolescents are first generation from specimens collected by Heiko Bleher only recently discovered. The males will turn beautiful brilliant flame yellow red. Not just a color variation, but a newly discovered species. Full grown at 3”.
