The fish pictured is a
Male. A female does not have the spots on her flanks or cheeks. Also the male's
anal fin is longer than that of the female and often extends beyond the tail.

I just want to say that
I bought a green severum about 6-7 inches long and he is just the biggest
sweethart in the tank. I even trained him to swim with his head out of the
water to get a piece of dehydrated shrimp from my fingers. OK, I just wanted to
tell you that he makes a great fish and a good pet too. Jeff, Masachusetts,
