| Social Behaviour |
Sometimes adult fish are quite aggressive however,
younger specimens, when kept in a group, tend not provide any problems to other
tankmates. |
| Remarks |
In nature they are usually found in clear water
with stony to rocky substrate. As with other Botias a lot of hiding places
are required. Dense vegetation can also serve as good shelter as well as pieces
of wood etc. |

A wonderful, active
fish to keep. Will eat flake food at the surface - launches from the bottom
like a surface-to-air missile! Eats most anything. Loves bloodworms. I'd say
even the juveniles are pretty aggressive - suitable for other semi-aggressive
loaches, Tiger Barbs, etc., but not Corys, Danios, Rasboras, Tetras, etc.
Highly recommended. Tim Gibson: Houston,
USA. |
