| Remarks |
An aquarium with a dark substrate and dense
vegetation brings out the colours. Also provide refuges in the form of rocks
and wood. It is the red caudal peduncle that distinguishes this species from
other Apistogramma sp. Through breeding, the red colouration can extend
as a line towards the anal fin. Many colour morphs exist. |
